Getting involved in the Newcastle Community Heritage Project
Here are some ways you can get involved:
- Share your memories and old photographs of Newcastle since the 1940’s in our reminiscence projects across the city.
- Join the Victoria Tunnel Education Project, and help out with one-off events or become a short or long-term Heritage Volunteer. For more details go to the Victoria Tunnel pages or contact Marian Jones.
- Support the Heritage Education Service in one or both of two ways: take part as a trained helper and volunteer guide on school visits; or share your memories of Newcastle in times past with visiting school groups. More details from Alison Stancliffe.
Book on to our History Mystery Tours for families on Ouseburn Family Day, 30th October. You can do this by sending an email to alison.stancliffe@newcastle.gov.uk after you've found out more details under News and Events in the Heritage Education Service pages. Tell us which tour time you'd like to book on to and how many places you want. We'll answer any queries too.
